Do you ever feel like you or something is holding you back? If you could give yourself a pep talk, what would you say? Coaching is not a mysterious thing, it is a process of helping people identify and achieve their goals.

Welcome to the District's Coaching Program. If you are looking to get a coach either for yourself, or one of your direct reports, you've come to the right place. This homepage will serve as a quick guide to get you started.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a process that helps people achieve positive change and growth. By engaging strengths, uncovering motivations, and asking empowering questions, coaching fosters self-generated insight, vision, and goal clarity. It is a partnership comprised of the coach - the person providing the coaching and the coachee -the person receiving the coaching.

Please note that coaches can be found from two sources:

The District's contracted coaches
The County of Sacramento Executive Coaching Ambassador Program. This program is open to all employees.
