- For security of our data and networks, and to more easily triage IT problems, we will eventually transition all teleworkers from desktop computers to laptops. We do not currently have the necessary stock of laptops to do this for everyone now. As supply chain issues resolve, we will start this transition through attrition. During the transition to laptops, there may be staff who will need to utilize their own computers. IT requires the following system and security standards:
- Up to date virus protection.
- Windows 10 or newer operating system with up to date security patches installed.
- Adequate internet speed package from your internet provider. A minimum of 50 to 100 Mbps download speeds for working from home, and at least 10 Mbps upload speeds if you upload large files to the internet.
- Webcam for virtual meetings
- All IT equipment requests for home use will be entered through the TPS (Technology Purchase System). These purchase requests are automatically vetted through a supervisor approval process.
