Outlook Webmail Instructions

Outlook Web App

OWA is a web-based client interface to a Microsoft Exchange server. The look and feel is similar to the functionality you find in the Microsoft Outlook client, however, OWA does not provide all of the same features. The standard Internet browser, such as Internet Explorer is used to view the OWA interface.
OWA capabilities allow the user to accomplish the following tasks:

  • Basic e-mail.
  • Basic calendar and group scheduling.
  • Basic public folder access.
  • Access to a personal contact list under People
  • Basic task creation and maintenance

Access Method:

  • Start Internet Explorer
  • Enter the URL "webmail.saccounty.net" and press enter - this will bring you to the main Outlook Web Access screen.
  • In the User Name box, enter your email address (i.e. smithj@sacsewer.com)

  • Select the "Sign in using DUO (Most Users)"

  • Authenticate the DUO 2-factor process on your registered mobile phone

  • The very first time you use Webmail, you will have to set the time zone to Pacific Time as shown below and then click save

  • You may also be prompted to store your password. The most secure option is to click Not for this site.

  • This will bring you into the Outlook Web Access application.
