Desk Phone User Guide

Set up your VoIP phone features and services

The Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP or IP) phone developed by Cisco Systems has features that turn your phone into a complete communication system integrated with your computer.  If you have questions or problems, contact the Countywide Service Desk, 874-5555.

Commonly Used Features, Set-up and Use Instructions:

The IP Phone software is integrated with Active Directory. Instead of using your 5-digit user ID to authenticate to these applications, you will use your Windows PC account. For accessing web applications from your browser, you will use your Windows PC account and password. For accessing applications from your IP phone, you will use your Windows PC account and CCMUser PIN.

  • CCMUser web page - - uses your network logon for access. Enter the username without the “@saccounty.net”. For example, enter Smith12 instead of Smith12@saccounty.net. Use your network password. The first time you log in, you will be asked to enter a 5 digit PIN. You can enter any 5 digits you like.
  • Extension Mobility/Hoteling – uses Windows PC account and CCMUser PIN for the Phone Login service
  • Personal Address Book – uses Windows PC account and CCMUser PIN
  • The one exception to this is Attendant Console. Users using this application will continue to use their 5-digit Attendant Console userid.

The CCMUser web pages have been redesigned.

The Personal Address Book has moved from the Services button of your IP phone to the Directories button. Users no longer have to add this as a service to use it.

When a user adds a new entry into his Personal Address Book, the contact’s phone numbers are automatically associated with Fast Dial numbers.
